Testimonials

‘We recently visited Curlew Cabin as a family and were surprised at how spacious and modern it was. Very cosy too with fantastic views across the Forth and lovely walks. Looking forward to coming back for another relaxing and fun weekend’. David & Clare, Edinburgh

‘We all loved our stay at the cabin. Cosy and well designed, with thoughtful and quirky touches everywhere - milk, tea and coffee supplied, bird watching and wild flower books to hand, guide books and local listings magazines on the shelves, lovely crochet blankets, and my favourite, the fishing float used as a cupboard handle. Lovely.
And the location couldn't be better - literally a stone's throw from the beach, with amazing views and wonderful walks in both directions.’ Sarah & family, London

Cabin Information

Curlew Cabin is just 27 miles from Edinburgh, 10 miles from North Berwick, 7 miles from Haddington and 1 mile from Dunbar by road. There is a train station at Dunbar with hourly trains to Edinburgh or south to London.

Parking for a single car is provided at the cabin.

Please note we no longer allow dogs or any other pets.

Considerations before booking:

The low profile character and proportions of the original cabin have been retained which means guests with mobility concerns or over 6ft tall may need to make allowances in bedrooms (raised cabin beds) and the shower room (ceiling height).

No smoking or naked flames in or around the cabin, (sensitive alarms are installed).

The wood burning stove is the principal heat source of the cabin and will need regular attention to maintain good heat output. The stove gets very hot and should be considered a risk to unsupervised young children though a guard is provided.
Portable electric heaters are provided for all rooms except the shower room, which has a heated towel rail.

Accessibility:

There is one step up into the cabin at the front door and one step down to the shower room.

Please make us aware at the time of booking if any member of your party has a disability, condition or special need as the cabin may not be suitable for their safety and wellbeing.
